Do one thing in a time

Designing a web is a hard work, yet full of fun, everyday I bring something fresh to the site, and when they function correctly, it brings me a satisfation. Oh baby, I am the info architects and project managers and coders and everything else under the sun....

I want to make a great site and offer super functionalities with elegant appearance...I want to build a community, an album, a blog magazine, RSS news reader, an easy-to-use mailing list and annoncement system, an instant message system..., I even try to add the ability to send SMS to mobile phone and watch online Movie and a game center...
So many factors to consider....and life sucks.

Gradually, I came to realize that no one care about those functions they will never use.
Then I came across a sentense Michael Porter says in his Harvard Business Review article,

"The essence of strategy is choosing what not to do."

Keeping the essential functionality work efficiently is always the core concern of web designer.
Do one thing in a time; Simple is the best. Now I spend two hours per day for the site and focus on what our community need most, the work becomes a pleasure.
